Tuesday Night

Black Rock City, NV – Economists at False Profit’s Primate Development Lab have discovered the gene responsible for flawed Cost-Benefit Analysis among the Great Apes.

Experts have long been puzzled by the widespread inclination among Homo sapiens to remain in a soul-crushing economic system when they could be extracting considerably more wealth at False Profit’s Tuesday Night Party in the Nevada desert.

“It just didn’t add up,” said Mary Franck, Director of the company’s Artistic Accounting Department. The riddle was solved when geneticists realized the faulty logic was the result of a mutation to the gene responsible for what Musicologists call a “computer ear.”

Earlier this year, biologists at False Profit Labs isolated the gene responsible for appreciating sounds produced by Homo sapiens like RD and Dr. Toast. The gene was noted for its high silicon content, but no conclusions could be drawn… until now.

Alison Bank, Chief of Human Observation explained, “We’ve operated under the false dichotomy of Monkey vs. Robot. But the ‘versus’ was really the result of a genetic mutation, which has cascaded into modern capitalism’s distorted Cost-Benefit Analysis.”

The unmutated silicon gene is, Bank explains, evidence of the species’ evolution into Homo sapiens electronica, informally Monkey-Robot or Monkeybot. There is no versus.

Homo sapiens without the mutation will be leaving the world of mutant commerce for False Profit’s Tuesday Night party to expose themselves to computerized sounds that will touch their Monkey-Robot brains. It should be no surprise that these sounds will be emitted from the Unimog, preferred vehicle of Space Cowboys who themselves are a future offshoot species of Homo sapiens electronica.
