New York City, NY – A bewildered crowd gathered outside the Stock Exchange today as trading literally came to a standstill.

“Why are they all standing still?” shouted one confused passerby.

Minutes earlier, False Profit LLC and Missing Piece had announced the third incarnation of Alchemy from a runway they set up inside the Exchange. Sneaking past security, the companies set up a full-on rehearsal of the interactive art event scheduled for April 25th in San Francisco. The traders stood with mouths agape, visions of 24karat couture reviving their recently downturned prospects.

“I’ve always said that nothing stops a day trader like a Solid Gold model,” said Nicole Stephenson, Director of Trader Aesthetics at False Profit, LLC.

Immediately following Missing Piece’s Solid Gold Fashion Side Show, the Interactivity Index spiked to tenfold as the Exchange turned carnie and the crowd pushed their way inside. Traders crammed into photo booths already stuffed with clouds of cotton candy while investors perfected their jigs in front of video cameras in a frenzy of post-economic activity. Hands raised in victory near the Feats of Arcadery were masked inside sock puppets, adding to the fervor.

“Few things energize a mob like a painted lady,” said Jason Seigler, Senior Analyst of Movement Dynamics at False Profit, LLC, “especially once they realize they get to paint the lady.”

Normally closing its doors at 4pm EST, officials were forced to keep the Exchange open until 2am when the last throng of revelers stumbled out, faces painted, and clutching balloon animals.

Following on the success of February’s Stimulus, False Profit, LLC is teaming up with Missing Piece this April to bring you Alchemy, an interactive and collaborative live art event of carnivalesque proportions.
