A Slice of (Playa) Life

False Profit is proud to announce a sneak preview of its reinterpreted Burningman presence, Monkey vs. Robot, at a celebration at Cellspace next Saturday, July 24. The event will offer a bit o’ Burn to investors who are recompressing for Black Rock and want a sample to whet their demand, as well as those who will be satisfied with a one-night trip into the playa mentality.

Executives point out that the party has a distinct advantage: attendees will sample the best of the Burn via slamming breakbeat DJs, installation artwork, and performances by Futuretrybe and Infinite Kaos, without playafying all their possessions, losing several layers of skin, and wreaking havoc on their romantic relationships.

Odd Couple Shoots for Top Spots

After a bruising primary campaign — not to mention an ongoing mythical struggle — Monkey and Robot have announced that they are temporarily making amends so as to run for president and vice-president of the US. Monkey, in a statement delivered through a spokesman, said, “That chimp-in-chief in office now is a disgrace to all primates. From the biggest silverback to the smallest lemur, we all agree: anyone but chimp. And if that techno-loser and I are the only ones who can unseat his undeserving ass, so be it.”

The two ancient antagonists announced that they would, however, take time off from their truce — which is time off from their epic battle — so they may return to said epic battle temporarily on the playa and the preview party at Cellspace.
